Things to think on. . .

Four things you can't recover:

• The stone after the throw.
• The word after it's said.
• The occasion after it's missed.
• The time after it's gone.
  
  God has a list of things also:

"These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him:

• a proud look,
• a lying tongue,
• hands that shed innocent blood,
• an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,
• feet that be swift in running to mischief,
• a false witness that speaketh lies,
• and he that soweth discord among brethren."
  

Don't sell truth. . .

Sweetness of the lips...

"The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning" (KJV Proverbs 16:21).

"The wise man is known by his common sense, and a pleasant teacher is the best" (The Living Bible).

Are our lips sweet?

The way...

"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them" (Ephesians 5:11).

"Jesus saith, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me (John 14:6).

How to live...

Be not thou envious against evil, neither desire to be with them. For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief. (Proverbs 24:1,2 KJV)
